Vintage Iconic Emeco Navy Chairs!
Emeco, or the Electric Machine and Equipment Company, hit a home run in designing this chair in 1944 for the United States Navy – Hence the name. It was made to withstand sea air and water, the constant use and abuse from sailors, and be lightweight for a submarine or freighter.
They are standard 18″ seat height, solid aluminum construction. These were sourced from a very old institution in Baltimore.
They are in excellent condition, but do display some minor scuffs commensurate with their age.
